Genistein Scientific Consulting offers a wide range of services to scientists and other professionals. Services include, but are not limited to:
Scientific consulting:
- Study design or data analysis, especially related to food and nutrition including:
- Sensory analysis,
- Assessment of physical properties of food or packaging (e.g., structure at the molecular level, quantitative texture, colorimetric analyses),
- How nutrient levels may change during storage,
- Statistical analyses,
- Meta-analyses;
- Design of clinical studies or animal experiments
- Development of applications for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC);
- Content editing for grants, manuscripts, and theses; and
- Completion and submission of manuscripts.
Scientific writing and editing:
- Composing, orchestrating, and editing grants, abstracts, theses, and manuscripts;
- I have experience working with post-doctoral fellowships (e.g., NIH’s NRSA/F32, USDA’s AFRI/NIFA), R awards, K awards, and institutional grants.
- I have experience rewriting grants and manuscripts written by more than one author so that they read as one coherent document;
- Summarizing technical documents and primary literature;
- Rewriting technical literature into layman’s terms; and
- Writing other various technical documents
- For example, I have written strategic rationales from the department chair to the dean for potential new hires and have prepared handouts for conference attendees.
